America’s Favorite Fast & Furious Movie in Each State

Since the release of its first film in 2001, Fast & Furious’s eight installments have each been major blockbuster hits, and the series has become a cultural phenomenon.

These films are packed with high-speed action, adrenaline-fueled car chases, and an iconic ensemble cast.

Pulling data from YouGov and Google Trends, Impactful found the most widely-searched Fast and Furious movie in each state, from the original film to the most recent release.

YouGov’s rating agency surveys people on a daily basis across a variety of areas to determine what people like and dislike. Their positive opinion scores represent the percentage of people who had a positive response out of those surveyed. Responses are broken down by generation: baby boomers, Gen Xers, and millennials.

Impactful analyzed 2022 Q4 data from YouGov to find the most popular Furious films in each state and pulled 2022 Google Trends data for all 8 films to determine the most popular films within the past year.

Data on box office and opening weekend revenue was gathered from Box Office Mojo.
